Volunteers are an important part of our school community. By generously donating their time and expertise to our school, volunteers support the learning environment for our students.
Our school is committed to ensuring student safety. With this in mind, if you are volunteering to drive any child other than your own, you will be required to:
– Complete our school’s Volunteer Driver FormVolunteer Driver Form provided below.
– Provide the school office with a copy of your Driver’s License. (please scan and email to willows@sd61.bc.ca)
– Provide the school office with a copy of your current car insurance (minimum $1,000,000 Third Party Liability) (Please scan and email to willows@sd61.bc.ca)
– Provide an ICBC Driver’s Abstract. Phone ICBC at 1-888-715-7775 and follow the prompts to request your Drivers Record. Or visit icbc.com (search for My Driving Record).
– Apply online for a Criminal Record Check. This is now done online at https://justice.gov.bc.ca/criminalrecordcheck.
NOTE ** You will be asked to provide an access code. Please contact the Willows office to obtain the code.
**Booster seats are required for transporting ALL students 9 years of age and under or 4’9” tall, whichever is first.
